D: It's close to time to pick a college, you have several offers. What will you be looking for in a school when it's time to actually make that decision?

R: I will be looking for a school that's going to help me grow as a person and a basketball player. I want to feel welcomed and know that I'm going to have a great experience.

D: Shadow Creek had the best season in school history, making it all the way to the regional final. What do you thing you guys need to do to take that next step and make it to state?

R: I think what we need to do is we need to learn how to finish games and execute our game plan because sometimes we will get caught up in the moment and go away from what will help us win.

D: Shadow Creek will be moving up to 6A next year, do you think it will be any different than 5A?

R: Moving up to 6a is going to be challenging, there are plenty of tough teams that we'll have to face but I feel if we play hard and do what we're supposed to do we can beat anybody.

D: What does your basketball workout consist of ?

R: For my workout it varies on what I do. I'll have days where I'll do nothing but basketball, working on my handles and my shot. Other days it will be conditioning and agility workouts. My dad really helps me with those.

D: What are some of the things you feel the need to work on?

R: Somethings I need to work on are being a better ball handler and a playmaker. A lot of coaches have told me that the next step that I need to take is raising my IQ and being able to make better decisions.

D: For someone who hasn't seen you play, describe your game!

R: I'm an athletic wing who can go get a bucket at will. I can shoot the ball better than most would expect I can, and I'm a two way player so I can lock up on defense too.

D: I remember a couple of years ago, Lupe Nunez of Texas Hardwork came up to me and said "Doug, Ramon Walker is an unknown right now, but believe me he will be one of the best players in the class."  What has that particular organization meant to you?

R: From the minute I arrived to play with them, they took me in like I've been with them for years. My teammates treated me like a brother from day one and Coach Lupe has played a big role in my recruiting through his connections.

D: Who are the most influential people in your life?

R: The most influential people in my life are my parents because without them I wouldn't be in the position that I am in right now. They've sacrificed a lot of time and money for me to succeed and I'm grateful for that.

D: What has been your most memorable game so far in high school?

R: The most memorable game was when we played Morton Ranch at home because it was packed and we went into triple overtime and it was just an all out battle. I finished with 38 that game i believe.

D: What music do you listen to before games to get you hype?

R: I listen to Lil Baby before games and that's the only person I listen to and he's the hardest rapper out right now.

D: What is something people don't know about you - something they would never guess?

R: Something most people don't know about me is that I can shoot with my left hand just as good as I can with my right.
