On Saturday, October 29, 2016, the weather was perfect for some outside basketball, especially in Houston, Texas!
Game Seven Marketing, spearheaded by Russell Braithwaite conducted a single day clinic for Jordan Brand in conjunction with the grand opening of Dick’s Sporting Goods located at Willowbrook Mall in Northwest Houston. The clinic, which took place in the parking lot, was the first of its kind, and certainly an event to be remembered. The idea was ignited by the Jordan Brand itself, but with the help of the training product and marketing team the clinic was brought to reality. Over 60 high school basketball players from the area's top homeschooled programs - HHA (Houston Homeschooled Association), GLV (Global Learning Village), HCYA (Homeschooled Christian Youth Association) and RCHA (Redemption Christian Homeschooled Association) participated in the clinic. They embraced the opportunity to practice and promote the soon to be released Air Jordan Trainer 1 and Air Jordan 31 shoes which are set for release, November 5 (at Dick's Sporting Goods, of course).
The players looked excited as they went through different basketball and agility drills and got to witness firsthand the support and comfort the shoe provides. Participants also got to learn about the historical heritage behind the Jordan brand. As an added treat, special guests Tyler Ennis and Nene Hilario from the Houston Rockets provided the players with some knowledge & insight / hard work it takes to get to the professional level.
